Park which is one of the largest green areas of the agglomeration, located between Jarville-la-Malgrange and Laneuveville

How pleasant it is to stroll through this immense 15-hectare park, which is one of the largest green spaces in the agglomeration, classified as "Remarkable Landscapes" and located between Jarville-la-Malgrange and Laneuveville, where the Férus des sciences and the Château de Montaigu are both located... Because if the 1999 storm had left some after-effects at the time, nature is now covering its scars. From now on, it is also possible to discover the interior of the Château de Montaigu, (Historical Monument and Museum of France), a very interesting building as it has preserved the charm of its time - the works of art and the furniture belong to the former owner and are a wonderful testimony of their time. For the record, the name Montaigu first appeared in the early 18th century. A few decades later, Bon Prévost, general receiver of the farms of Lorraine, built a pleasure house on the hillside. When the Marquis de Vaugiraud bought it in 1856, he gave it the appearance of a castle. Bought in 1920 by the Salin family, the Montaigu estate was burned down. Pierre le Bourgeon, an architect from Nancy of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco school, took charge of the reconstruction using techniques that were unheard of at the time (reinforced concrete, cement, metal carpentry). Also to be seen in the domain, a metal restoration workshop and a former farmhouse with an orangery.
