The gendarmes and the time thieves..

It is a 100% nature race on paths and trails in the Limousin, in the splendid setting of the ponds in the forests of the Limousin. Ambazac is located at the foot of the mountains and offers landscapes of rare beauty. With nearly 3000 participants in the two races last year, the marathon of the gendarmes and time thieves is a major sporting event. Discover the course on D-Day, the runners will not be at the end of their surprise!

number of participants: 517 finishers in 2013 for the 65 km. 2,043 finishers in 2013 for the 32 km. More than 3,000 participants in the 2 races in 2014!

The courseThe

courses of the different races pass through private roads, the legislation does not allow us to communicate them in a precise way. Nevertheless here are some indications:

65 km: The Grand Trail du Limousin: departure: site of the Domaine du Muret. You will go in the direction of the "Grand Muret" towards "le Grand royères" then towards the pond of "la Crouzille", then you will go around the pond of "l'âne" and continue to the "Puy de Sauvagnac". Towards "Noueix" you are already halfway there, you will continue towards "Vieux", "la Chaise", "Chédeville", "Le Puy Garsault", "Bellevue", return by the cross of Muret and it is the arrival.

32 km : The trail " Les Gendarmes et les Voleurs de temps " : departure : site of the " Domaine du Muret " : you will go in the direction of the " Grand Muret " you will go around the pond " des Gardèches " towards " Bellevue ", " le Jeune Hureau ". You will continue to "Grandmont", "Vieux", "le Petit coudier", "la Chaise", "Chédeville", and arrive at the equestrian centre of the Domaine du Muret.

10km: The discovery trail: departure: site of the Domaine du Muret. You will go in the direction of the "Petit Muret" then the "Grand Muret". You will ride along "le bois de la lieue", "les Pierres" and "Bellevue", to return by the "Gane de Jumeau" and arrive at the equestrian centre of the Domaine du Muret.
