THE CASTLE MOUNDS OF THE YEAR 1000

The site of the Saint-Austrille Tower had Four Feudal sods in the th century. Indeed, the Earl of the March fought against the lords neighbouring the Berry. At that time, the sods were surmounted by wooden dungeons. Three sods are still visible today, two intact. A well-established course allows you to learn the history of this site between the th and th centuries. It also shows the ruins of a priory. During the guided tour, a booklet is given to you to keep a memory of the place.
