To enjoy the atmosphere of the Christmas markets, the ideal is to visit the small village markets. They have a lot of charm! The one in Holtzheim takes place over two days. About twenty stands offer Christmas articles, decorative objects and creations that will make beautiful gifts. Of course, bredele (small Alsatian Christmas cakes) made by the villagers are offered for sale. And don't leave without tasting the mulled wine (each village has its own recipe). Concert, choir and Christmas dinner are on the program every year. On Saturday and Sunday, Santa Claus comes to the market to distribute sweets to the children... who will have been good, of course!
