DOMAINE LES CONQUES
François Douville, originally from Paris, after studying agricultural engineering, started as a consultant in viticulture and oenology in Toulouse. Then one day, he arrived in the Aspres "with a toolbox and a spade". This great defender of clean cultivation and without chemical inputs is happy to talk about his love of "working with and not against the vine". Today, Les Conques is 9 ha in organic farming, part of which is made up of old vines on uneven ground. So much so that the horse imposed itself where the tractor found its limits in tillage. As for the wines, we liked the Bohemian cuvée, a dry white wine with aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits and honey that follow one another during the tasting, amazing! Anatole, the estate's flagship cuvée, is a red where syrah takes over with a fine tannic structure and a very fine texture. Fine, fresh and balanced wines, especially not crushed by the sun!
