There were once more than 50 glassmakers in the Albères, a massif that provided wood and river sand. Today, this activity is reborn from its ashes. The pun is easy, but the Verriers de Saint-André bring a new breath of fresh air to this noble profession that was being lost. The workshop operates nearly 300 days a year and the public can discover the team of glassmakers in a traditional manufacturing environment of more than 600 m2. The activity is continuous and the permanent demonstrations are a real treat for the eyes that shine as bright as the glass that takes shape in front of us.
