Step through the door of this residential house where Carole happily cooks dishes with Catalan accents that are sometimes forgotten. A cuisine elaborated with ultra-fresh local products, original combinations: "A colourful cuisine and flavours that are sometimes forgotten", as Christophe tells us. Starters, dishes and desserts are written on a slate (commented with lyricism!), suggestions are regularly renewed according to the market and of course the dishes are proposed according to the mood and the season. Saffron, honey, anise, cinnamon and other fine spices subtly enhance vegetables, meat, fish and exquisite delicacies that conclude the meal. For the record, in the Middle Ages, the Jardin des Simples was the garden of aromatic and officinal plants. Take advantage of the sunny days to sit down in this garden of the simple, luxuriant like a priest's garden, otherwise it is inside painted with white lime that you will eat in the plates of La Bisbal, on the Toiles du Soleil.

Ungewöhnlich, leidenschaftlich, energetisch, überraschend, familiär - mit diesen Worten lässt sich unser Besuch umschreiben. Familiär + Ungewöhnlich: Die Location. Nur 5-6 Tische, rund 20 Gäste, ausgebucht. Leidenschaftlich: Der Auftritt vom Gastgeber und Chef. Er lebt und liebt was er tut. Energetisch: Der Chef hat eine Power und eine Energie, die mich begeistert hat (andere unserer Runde fanden es zu viel). Überraschend: Der Angriff der Killermücken direkt nach unserer Ankunft am Tisch. Sowas hab ich selten erlebt. Lifehack: Wenn man den Garten ein wenig aufhübschen würde (was leicht möglich wäre) hätten die Biester nicht so viele Wohnmöglichkeiten. Die Mücken verschwanden dann aber nach rund 30Minuten. Also: Hingehen, erleben, geniessen - aber nur mit Mr und Mrs Autan????

Wonderful, delicious meal, probably one of the nicest we’ve had here, all served in a cosy romantic setting of their garden.. it is a slow process so come prepared for long relaxed conversations as the lovely couple make you a delicious meal
