In this small Cévennes castle surrounded by chestnut trees, simple, charming or prestigious rooms are arranged according to their layout and location: the main body or the hamlet. And books everywhere! Intimate in winter, the Cauvel is convivial in summer, when you chat with the owners who tell the story of the Cévennes, the history of the place and willingly share their way of life. The place is very popular with the hikers of the Chemin de Stevenson.

super stopover on the way to stevenson; the small detours is worth the visit of it: a little corner of paradise where guests made us share their love of the region, its nature, and their horses which alopent in semi freely in the estate - a real favourite
The property is 1.5 km from the GR 70 (Chemin de Stevenson). The visit is worth it. I spent on July 7th, 2012.
A unique setting in the park, the château was very well well renovated with beautiful annexes containing the spacious, clean, quiet cottages. Libraries in all rooms (cévennes tradition) encourage you to take a book and sit on a lounge chair that serre you. Only the neigh of horses make you raise your eyes memory from time to time do not forget to admire the landscape.
The welcome is warm, the delicious meal is prepared with quality ingredients (oats house bread, vegetable carpaccio, chestnuts, tender and melting meat, cheese, cabbage with raspberries).

Très peu d'échanges intéressants et sans chaleur humaine. Ce jeune homme n'a pas les qualités pour la fonction d'accueil qui pourtant est une très belle occupation.
Dans la région il y a tellement d'endroits beaucoup plus sympa. chaleureux et économiques. Vraiment endroit à éviter en l'état actuel !!!
