Park dedicated to the wolf since 1985 in Saint-Léger, one of the most touristic places in Lozère, guided tours proposed.
This area, which has been entirely dedicated to the wolf since 1985 (on the initiative of wildlife journalist Gérard Ménatory), is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Covering 25 hectares, it has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Lozère, and is home to over a hundred wolves, representing all five subspecies. To put it simply, it's Europe's biggest park dedicated to wolves, and in 40 years it's undergone a great deal of evolution and innovation. To fully immerse yourself, we advise you to visit the park in different seasons: the atmosphere and behavior of the wolf are never the same depending on the period. Let's face it, this park has a real charm under the snow, especially if you want to observe the newly-arrived Arctic wolves and admire the beauty of their fur.
The visit includes a museographic area devoted to wolf myths and legends, including that of the Beast of Gévaudan, as well as the particularities of the species and current events. The park also features a children's area with a drawing workshop. During guided tours, you'll learn all about wolf ethology. Feeding time, at the end of the afternoon three times a week, is impressive.
Activities are diversifying, with night-time visits at dusk, a perfect time to listen to howls, a virtual tour of Europe's fauna (with RV headset) and a raptor animation organized by Griffondor falconry.

Visite guidée parfaite, merci à ce couple de faire partager sa passion et son dévouement à ces êtres magnifiques que sont les loups.
La nuit dans la tanière à été magique, les loups sont venus au plus près, les voirent jouer, manger, parfois se chamailler est un moment que je n'oublierai jamais.
Merci infiniment à toute l'équipe du parc ,vous êtes tous très accueillant, souriant.
En juillet nous pouvons comprendre que les loups se mettent au frais même si ce n’était pas une journée très chaude. Nous avons énormément regretté de voir que très peu de loups et qu’il n’y ai pas vraiment d’espace (ou très peu) aménagé pour les voir ou les prendre en photo sans les grillages.
Les vitres sont toutes sales et on y voit pas grand chose..
On a surtout marché dans un parc un peu déserté par les animaux d’ailleurs est ce que quelqu’un saurait nous expliquer pourquoi il est écrit 130 animaux ?
Le resto était cher et l’attente un peu longue pour de l’industriel.
Nous avons fait la visite guidée qui était plutôt sympa et nous a donné l’occasion de voir les loups et d’en parler. Les explications étaient donné par une guide visiblement passionnée par son métier et on se rend aussi compte qu’ils aiment leurs animaux. On a trouvé dommage que la visite n’aille pas à son terme et que nous n’allions pas voir les loups de Pologne.
