ÉGLISE DE SAINT-ÉTIENNE-VALLÉE-FRANÇAISE

The church is located in the heart of the village's narrow streets, which meet at the pretty forecourt. This large building reflects the importance of the parish in the ^14th century, when it was built. Like all ancient buildings, it is constructed from local schist and enhanced with white quartz. During the wars between Catholics and Protestants, the church was destroyed and rebuilt. Originally, it was adorned with mural paintings, now repainted yellow.
