Dargilan Cave
Dargilan or Pink Cave, discovered in 1880, where you can observe tubular concretions and explore underground chambers
Known as "the pink cave", Dargilan owes its particular hue to iron oxide, which dresses its walls in a dazzling palette of pinks, yellows and ochres. Discovered by chance, it wasn't really explored until 1888. Quickly recognized for its exceptional features, it was developed in 1890. With its concretions and crystallizations, and evocative names such as the draperies, the great bell tower, the waterfall and the mosque, the cave is home to one of the largest underground chambers in France.
