A mountain offering exceptional views of Mende's surroundings, accessible via the airfield road known as La Montée.

Accessible via the airfield road, known as Montée Jalabert, or on foot via a signposted path starting from the foirail, Mont Mimat dominates the town, offering exceptional views over Mende and the surrounding area. Access to the hermitage and grotto is via an impressively steep, car-free road, or via the renovated Way of the Cross, with its 14 stations. The plateau is covered by a beautiful national forest, a popular place for Mendois walkers.

Summer and winter, Mount Mimat is a place to discover, to wander around, to admire the panorama on the city of Mende! Several circuits are proposed, including the arboretum and the "dead villages".
