Through along the Allier River, the journey lasts a little less than 2 h, with a gentle ride to better enjoy the beauty of the landscapes crossed to Langeac. It is enriched with comments on architectural and natural heritage, ideas of visits, historical anecdotes, or gastronomy… After an afternoon of free visits, the return is made by train or not. It houses unique machines dating back to 1850 that were used to work wool. Considered the oldest woolen mill in France, it offers visitors a fascinating insight into the history of the textile industry. The museum offers guided tours, as well as self-guided tours with a tour guide to accompany visitors through the structure, complete with sound effects, light shows and videos.
