Collegiate church built by Pope Urban V, fortified and rebuilt as a Greek cross.
Pope Urban V, born in Pont-de-Monvert, had this collegiate church built in 1363 to bury his parents. It was fortified and increased by towers so that the inhabitants of the parish could take refuge there in case of attack. Canons lived above the church, six according to the recommendations of Urban V. Built of schist, it was larger before its destruction in 1580 by the Huguenots. When it was rebuilt, its original Latin cross shape was changed to a Greek cross. Today it has regained its dimensions.
