LA POTERIE DU SENS
Arts and crafts
Read moreAnthony Lagarde is a ceramist who makes pottery from Burgundy stoneware clay in the village of Bédouès. He makes his own glazes from local materials, such as Chanac dolomite, a rock used in the manufacture of glass (the Chanac quarry also supplies Saint Gobain) or wood ash, to make his objects waterproof and solid. The pieces thus made are then fired at 1300° in a gas oven. His utilitarian ceramics, with a rustic and natural look, are available in pitchers and containers.
