On the itinerary of the tourist circuit of the 160 km of Florac, in the heart of the Cévennes National Park and at the crossroads of GR 6 and 7, Cinrine and Didier Bouquardez welcome hikers in this former forest house with four dormitories from 4 to 9 people. Attentive to the well-being of everyone, they are also concerned about preserving the exceptional environment of the site and are labeled Ecvennes Ecotourism. People with reduced mobility are welcome, a wheelchair and a jozzard are made available, and the lodging has been renovated to make everyone accessible. If free management is possible, with a fully equipped kitchen, you can enjoy a dip with Cendrine, Didier, and their children Theo and Noé, on the terrace or at the corner of the fire.

Bonne installation et a bientôt nous sommes ravis que ce lieu reprenne vie et de bénéficier d'une étape dans ce cadre magique
Le gîte Aire de Côte fait l’objet - depuis 2022 - d’importants travaux de rénovation pour améliorer l’accueil et le confort du public ainsi que la fonctionnalité technique du site. Ainsi certains dortoirs sont transformés en chambres ( les randonneurs ne veulent plus de collectif et toujours davantage de confort...), une salle d’activités est créée, le logement du gérant entièrement rénové.... Il n'y a surtout plus d'eau ou quasi à la source qui fournissait le gîte, sa cuisine, ses sanitaires, ses douches...
Je me demande ce que ça va devenir après rénovation....
Je garde des souvenirs fabuleux de cet endroit années après années, d'une décennie aux autres à pied, en raquettes, avec un âne, en solo, en camp d'ado, en famille ou en couple.
