FÊTE DE LA SAINT-ROCH À SÉRIGNAN

Saint Roch" is a traditional festival celebrated every year on August 16, in honor of the patron saint of the town. It is said that in the 14th century, it is because they prayed fervently to Saint Roch that the people of Sérignan were spared from the plague... And since Saint Roch, patron saint of pilgrims, is always accompanied by his dog, one of the highlights of the festival is the blessing of horses and other animals (domestic, livestock, etc...) by the parish priest of Sérignan.
