Their appearance is the result of the cooling of a lava flow during an eruption of the volcanoes of the Ramus Mountains about 650,000 years ago. This geological curiosity offers a breathtaking scenery and opens onto an impressive panorama that covers the Espinouse Mountains, the foothills of Larzac, Mount Ramus and all the surrounding villages.
