SAN MARTIN CHURCH

Built in the ^12th century, this church is a pure jewel of Languedoc Romanesque art. A dome of Byzantine inspiration allows to pass from the square plan to the circle. To the south, the ^13th century portal is surmounted by a tympanum decorated with a sculpture: a man on horseback representing Saint Martin sharing his coat with a poor man who was dying of cold... The building was lucky enough to be spared during the Wars of Religion and the Revolution. Badly enlarged in the ^19th century, it was well restored in 1932.
