LA SANT BLASI

When winter comes to an end and spring slowly comes to an end, Pézenas celebrates Sant Blasi, or Saint-Blaise, the city's patron saint. Organised thanks to the Temporadas collective, this popular and pagan event symbolises the renewal of nature and the awakening of the earth. The festivities include the wandering of the "wild women", the parade of Sant Blasi on his donkey, dances, songs, meals, a mass... It also marks the opening of the Carnival.
