ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF THE MINERVOIS

Run by enthusiastic locals, this small village museum features local collections from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages, as well as minerals and fossils. Menhirs and dolmens testify to the fact that this area has been occupied since time immemorial. A fine collection of Roman ceramics from the Gaufresenque region comes from the Port-la-Nautique excavations in Narbonne. The museum also offers an introduction to archaeology for children and adults.
