Amidst the fir trees and illuminations, a hundred or so shopkeepers and craftsmen offer products from the region in Montpellier.

If summer in Montpellier is symbolized by the Estivales, December has its Hivernales. Held throughout the month of December, they feature a beautiful Christmas market and a number of events (ice rink, workshops, parades...). Surrounded by Christmas trees and festive illuminations, a hundred or so local merchants and artisans offer local products and specialties. Gourmet treats, oysters and mulled wine can be enjoyed in the midst of stalls selling decorations, toys and handcrafted jewelry.
