Hotel with a warm welcome, terrace and decorated rooms in Montpellier
Located just a stone's throw from the Arc de Triomphe, this small, discreet house was built in 1870. For more than thirty years, its owners have opened the doors of the building to visitors looking for a cosy nest. In a contemporary setting, with stone walls and modern furniture, they give a warm welcome. Behind its pretty facade with elaborate balconies, the address hides a superb terrace, a beautiful typical staircase and good-sized rooms decorated with pastel tones. Success oblige, it is imperative to reserve.

(Avis d'origine)
The hotel is in an exceptionally attractive building in an ideal location in a quiet corner of the historic centre of Montpellier. The breakfast was notably delicious, using interesting local suppliers. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, including when we had to check out a day early - without charging us for the full stay booked.

If you are used to the Grand Hotels of France or the American chains, of which there are a number in Montpellier, the Hotel du Palais is not for you. But if you want a perfectly sited, comfortable hotel with great charm, this is just the place. You rarely get what you pay for when it comes to hotels but with the Palais you get what you need and much more. The staff are friendly and helpful and, if you do stay, try the breakfast. Last year we stayed at the Hotel Richer de Bellval, which was fine, if expensive. But it is to the Hotewl du Palais we will return.
