In India, Puja is the ritual prayer; in Montpellier, it is a restaurant not to be missed. In a typical oriental decor, you sample indian or... mauritian dishes! On the menu: fried squid or eggplant, samosas, Tikka Massala chicken, Pakora and nans with cheese or garlic. This is for the trip to India, and if you prefer a stopover on Mauritius island, taste the fish Cari (tomato and coriander) for example, or with semolina puddings called Sooji Meva. In Puja, the meal is copious, tasty and affordable, with the added bonus of a very welcoming staff.

Je suis fan de cette cuisine et je ressors toujours rassasié ce qui n'est pas forcément le cas pour d'autres endroits...
Un accueil chaleureux et des plats succulents !
En fait, j’ai commencé à me demander si je n’avais pas le covid, car il est impossible que la cuisine indienne manque autant de goût ! Une grosse déception car j'attendais ça avec impatience.

I wanted to go there since a long time and was so happy when I could finally pick up my order. I’ve had butter chicken and tikka masala chicken with garlic naan and it’s the first time it happened to me in the Indian restaurant but the food was tasteless! Tikka was just a chicken in a very runny tomato sauce without spices, butter chicken also with very runny sauce where you can mostly taste the cream. Can’t feel garlic in garlic naan.
I actually started to ask myself if I don’t have covid, cause it’s impossible for Indian food to lack the taste so much! A big disappointment cause I was really looking forward to that.
