If the metropolis of Montpellier can boast of having an efficient and convenient transport network, it is undoubtedly because of the four tram lines that meander through its walls and in the surrounding municipalities. More than a strengthening of the accessibility of the city, these transports have become essential to the rhythm of the city and have allowed a large part of the heart of L’Écusson to become a pedestrian zone. While lines 1 and 4 allow travelling more through the city centre and the commercial spaces of Montpellier, Line 2 goes to the towns of Jacou, Castelnau and Saint-Jean de Védas, and line 3 joins Lattes, Perols and Juvignac. Line 5 is currently being prepared.
