LA NOISETTE D'OC, KARINE & YVAN CAUSSEL
Shellfish farmers since 1984, Karine and Yvan Caussel welcomes you to the edge of the Thau lagoon. Their exploitation is not only referenced "Herault Quality Label" and "Welcome to the Farm", but is also engaged in an ISO 14001 environmental policy. The point of sale of the site offers a selection of freshly caught products: special oysters of first choice and Bouzigues mussels. Tastings are of course possible, besides, the shellfish are always accompanied by local wine: the Picpoul de Pinet. Guided tours of the farm are proposed and allow the curious to better understand the how oysters are grown and the importance of protecting the marine environment. These visits are also adapted for the young audience: a pedagogical and playful visit is specially reserved for children. Lunch breakfasts and a special menu for groups of visitors are offered on site, in a panoramic room overlooking the pond, with mixture of shellfish or mussels with white wine.
