LEZIGNAN-LA-CÈBE CASTLE
This residence built in a style both austere and massive, consists of three buildings flanked by four round towers
The birth of this monument dates back to 1614, when Pierre de Ribes, then lord of Lézignan, signed a contract with the mason Claude Bastide for the construction of the premises. After being passed on to his heirs, the castle was bought by the Carrion de Nizas and then passed on to the d'Ormesson family by inheritance. They are still the owners of the house. It has been little modified during its years of existence. Built in a style that is both austere and massive, it is made up of three buildings with four round towers surrounding a courtyard of honour. Inside, the ground floor has retained its original structure while the upper floors were refurbished in the 19th century in the neo-classical style.
