World Laughter Day was initiated in 1998 by Dr. Madan Kataria, Indian inventor of laughter yoga. In France, it has been celebrated every year since 2003 by Corinne Cosseron, who has extended the principle of this day to several days of festivities representing the greatest annual celebration of laughter and happiness bringing together general public and professionals: Rassemblement International des Rieurs, Festi'Bonheur, Rencontres Zygomatiques., Soirées Ciné-Bonheur, Balèti et Jeux, Diner annuel des rigologues...

World Laughter Day is an opportunity to bring together all the riders and realize Le Plus Grand Éclat de Rire de France in honor of a personality receiving a Rire d'Or to thank her for sharing the benefits of joie de vivre.
