Strawbeds are remnants of agropastoralism in the Haut Languedoc region
Mulchers (Occitan term) are vestiges of 19th century agropastoralism in the Haut Languedoc. They are rectangular barn-stables that can be of beautiful dimensions, such as the 38 m long Prat-Alaric barn. Its impressive roof is covered with broom. It is one of the last straw barns to retain this type of roofing.
