GLASS WALK

In the middle of the asphodel fields (Mediterranean perennial plants), a long and rich local history is told. The history of the causse de Pompignan evokes the shepherds and the coalminers. It is a mythical place on the glassmakers' path between Claret and Ferrières-les-Verreries: the Mas de Baume is the starting point for this beautiful walk. Today a restaurant, it once housed a glass factory. The grain threshing floor is still in place and the sheepfolds remain.
