DOMAINE BOURDIC

The Bourdic estate has its origins in the 18th century. It was taken over several years ago by Christa Vogel and Hans Hürlimann, two Swiss who fell in love with the place and the work of the vine. The characteristic soils (marl, clay-limestone, sediments with fossils) and the couple's know-how give birth to typical and singular wines, highlighting the particularities of the terroir. Red, white and rosé wines diffuse in their dresses all the subtleties of the wines of the South, bathed in sunshine.

The estate focuses more on quality than quantity, supplying many of the local restaurants and exporting a lot of its wines. The history of this estate goes back to the 14th century, and today it is planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Carignan, Grenache and Chardonnay for the whites. Traditional vinification, long vatting time and ageing in oak barrels make these wines real nectars. For several years now, the estate has held the Terra Vitis label, an illustration of sustainable viticulture.

Fabienne and Bruno Venturi, independent winegrowers in organic farming, produce wines that respect the terroir and the environment by strictly complying with the specifications of organic farming corresponding to the "Organic Wine" appellation. 8 hectares of vines, worked as naturally as possible, and planted with these different grape varieties: chardonnay, muscat, sauvignon, vermentino, syrah and grenache. The vineyard of Alignan-du-Vent is located in the production area of the Côtes de Thongue local wines. The roots plunge into a mixture of clay and pebbles and on the terroir of Neffiès in AOP Languedoc on schist. In the cellars, you can taste the three colours of different grape varieties. Produced from rigorous plot selections and a careful selection of grapes, these wines are regularly rewarded. As they like to describe themselves: "Alignan Neffies winegrowers is more than a wine. It's an art of living, a style, a boldness, a signature".
