VOIES NAVIGABLES DE FRANCE (VNF) - SUD-OUEST
The Voies Navigables de France (VNF) is the national operator in charge of the improvement and management of inland waterways, as well as overall water management. The South-West office covers 600 km of canals and sections of navigable rivers, two regions (Occitanie Pyrénées Méditerranée and Nouvelle-Aquitaine), seven departments (Gironde, Lot-et-Garonne, Tarn-et-Garonne, Haute-Garonne, Tarn, Aude and Hérault) and more than two hundred municipalities. Its vocations are plural: preservation of heritage, flora and fauna, transport of goods, tourism, ecology...
