AOC since September 2020, the Cévennes Chestnut is officially recognized as PDO since January 16, 2023. This is a great recognition for the chestnut growers who, for more than 50 years, have been working to safeguard the traditional orchard and to defend and promote the local varieties. Since 2001, the association has been working to improve production techniques and the economic value of production and the products made from it.
