Radio Nîmes - Avé l'accent, or Radio Fréquence Nîmes, was founded in 1982 by Jean Orsi. It defends a certain kind of French chanson, whose musical tastes reveal a nostalgia for a France that no one under the age of 15 could possibly know! Today it's Edith Quettelart who carries on her father's work, supported by the hosts, switchboard operators, enthusiasts and volunteers. Variety classics delight many listeners. News and classified ads make it a local radio station, well established in Nîmes.
