This monumental example of ^19th-century railway architecture has been restored to its former glory, 170 years after its construction. A rare example of an overhead track running right through the city, Nîmes station makes the most of its vaulted ceilings and open spaces to welcome passengers. Served by TGV, Intercités and TER Occitanie trains, Nîmes is now 5 hours from Rennes, 3 hours from Paris and Toulouse, 1 hour from Lyon Part-Dieu and Marseille Saint-Charles, and 30 minutes from Avignon and Montpellier, with connections to the Nîmes Pont du Gard TGV station.
