Spiritual stay with rooms dedicated to the reception of the public in the middle of a large Mediterranean forest

An Orthodox monastery in the Gard, connected to that of Simonos Petra on Mount Athos occupied by the Sisters of Solan. In a main building, restored with local stone, a space is reserved for the community life of these nuns of the Orthodox Church. Other rooms are dedicated to welcoming the public, as this Gard monastery, well hidden in the hollow of a wild valley, opens its doors to visitors. You will be able to walk around the estate and discover the cultivated fields (vines, fruit trees, vegetable garden) in the middle of a large Mediterranean forest.

Très bel endroit et superbement bien accueilli par les religieuses, le monastère est un lieu calme et on s'y sent bien, la boutique aussi est bien fournie autant qu'en livre que en objet religieux et aussi en confiture..

Visite rapide on fait vite le tour car ce n’est pas très grand ! Mais très joli et en perpétuelle évolution car pas terminée
