DOMAINE DE LA VALÉRIANE
The Domaine de la Lethe is above all the passion for a profession and the history of a family of winemakers for four generations. Valérie was a teacher of training and took over the family farm in 2004, with her husband, also a farm wine-vigneron and buff. But history does not stop there. The parents of Valérie, themselves sons and grandson of wine growers, modernisèrent the estate and the cellar from the 1960 s to the 1980 s. Then they expanded the domain gradually, while over the years they developed the sale of bottles of wine. That's how they inspired their daughter, Valérie, to find the name in the domain. With a stunning record of medals in Mâcon, Paris and Avignon, the couple now produce red wines - 60% Grenache and 40% syrah -, white wines - viognier 40%, roussanne 40%, white Grenache 20% - and rosé wines - Syrah 40%, Grenache 40%, cinsault 20%. That is not everything: gentlemen, who is passionate about olive oil, has planted olive trees for some years. Since then, they have produced olive oil, sold in the cellar, where typical varieties of the corner are found: picholine, bouteillans… and some old varieties.
