Between Provence and the South of France, at the entrance to Bellegarde, the Comptoir méditerranéen is one of those places where gourmets don't know where to look, there are so many good things to devour with their eyes. Five kilometres from Bellegarde, the Domaine du Haut Broussan is a 9-hectare olive-growing estate worked with love, fervour and respect by Murielle and Florian Monnier. Once ripe, these olives will produce a fruity and golden oil, which can be found in the restaurant overlooking the lake. In the middle of the 3,000 olive trees, the table of this restaurant is authentic and simple. Everything is fresh. Florian takes care of the grilled meats and Murielle composes generous salads served with a homemade tapenade that leaves a lasting impression.

The Pastouret family created its property as early as 1980. The vineyard of about thirty years and covering 30 ha planted in the old bed of the Rhône is naturally maintained in organic production with original varieties of the region: Syrah varieties (mostly), grenache, carignan, Bellegarde glazing. In AOC Costières-de-Nîmes, Pastouret estate is located on the southern slopes of the Costière-de-Nimes, on the commune of Bellegarde, where the Romans planted the first vine ceps a few centuries ago…

We might as well prune the grass under the feet of those who consider wine as an environment reserved for men: if the wife of Cyril Marès, who looks after the Mas des Bressades in Manduel, holds the reins of Mas Carlot, she owes it only to herself. Nathalie Blanc-Marès obtained all the necessary diplomas and engaged all the necessary passion before knowing her husband. The result: wines with their own character, their own talents, including a Clairette that gives a new lease of life to France's oldest wine appellation, that of Bellegarde, based on 60-year-old vines. Roussanne, marsanne and viognier dominate the whites Costières de Nîmes, syrah and grenache for the reds, a little mourvèdre as a bonus for the rosé, at more than fair prices for the beverages on offer. Crushed red fruits or exotic fruits on the nose. Careful tannins, roundness and minerality carry the palate away, for a successful journey through the Costières. Nathalie has thus relaunched a family property, which has become, it is said again and again, a reference in the field of Clairette.

In this estate, located on the Costières plateau, 12 different grape varieties are worked. Exposed to the Mistral and the sun, Domaine Diminoit produces IGP Côteaux du Pont-du-Gard and AOC Costières de Nimes wines. You will be very well received and you will be able to taste excellent wines available in all three colours.
