These crayons of flavours simmered in Benoît Le Guein's head for a while before being created. The young man, who graduated in the hotel and restaurant business before going on to fine arts, managed to reconcile his love of good products with his passion for artistic disciplines in these unidentified edible objects - Ocni. A nod to the obvious word "UFO", to signify the truculent and unprecedented nature of this concept of seasoning pencils to be sharpened above the plate. Developed jointly with Nadia Lahrichi and Tristan Cano, two other gastronomic enthusiasts, these innovative condiments are produced in Alès, exclusively from natural products, and manufactured according to a traditional recipe. In addition to basil, candied lemon, ginger, Espelette pepper or soy sauce, they contain nothing but "clean" ingredients: natural flavours, essential oils, organic cider vinegar, water, salt, organic agar-agar and carob gum. Used as a sprinkle on salads, grills, seafood, risotto, fruit salads, pasta, these refillable food pencil sharpeners are explosive in flavours. Eight to ten shavings are enough to give the dish another dimension.
