Concert halls Ales

Le Cratère, located in the heart of the city, is Alès' largest concert hall, seating 800. Comedians, concerts, plays, dance, screenings during the film festival... As a national stage, the Cratère hosts top-notch contemporary French and European shows, and also gives pride of place to local artists. The institution also presents Cratère Espace, an itinerant program covering 23 towns in the region, and has created Cratère Surface, a street art festival that is a must-see in June.

While Cinéplanet is a large-scale cinema offering the best films of the moment, with state-of-the-art technology, this eight-screen multiplex stands out for its emphasis on auteur films, documentaries and a diversity of original events. These include special screenings with engaging debates, meetings with film-makers, ciné-danse with live performances, night screenings... The major Itinérances festival is also held here, as well as Ciné Boucan, weeks dedicated to international cinema: a cinema for all tastes!
