The 2 superb Gîtes Sous les Courtines at the foot of the medieval city of Carcassonne offer breathtaking views of the ramparts. The contemporary, loft-style "Mi Padre" (2 bedrooms, 70 m²) and the traditionally decorated "Grand Canissou" (2 bedrooms, 140 m²). Both feature fully-equipped kitchens. We love the shaded terraces and communal garden with deckchairs for enjoying the city lights in the evening. A warm welcome from David, the owner.

GiTES SOUS LES COURTINES are two fully restored 4-star gîtes located under the curtain walls of the medieval city of Carcassonne. You'll be close to the Aude river, the town center, a golf course and a lake. If you like old-fashioned charm, Le Grand Canissou is the place for you. This spacious two-bedroom house has retained its original character. If you prefer a more modern feel, opt for the Mipadre gîte. It's a former wine-growing shed transformed into a contemporary two-bedroom loft. Each accommodation has a capacity of 1 to 4 people. Both share a large garden and enjoy panoramic views of the Cité de Carcassonne. Your accommodation is a great base for exploring Cathar castles, abbeys and vineyards. An excellent address for a wonderful stay!

Ferienhaus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, inkl. Klimaanlage. Terrasse und Garten stehen zur Verfügung. Phantastischer Blick auf die Stadtmauern, ohne selbst von dort beobachtet zu werden. Ausreichend Liegen und auch eine Dusche sind vorhanden. Schattenplätze ebenfalls. Auf der Terrasse gibts einen Elektrogrill.
TOP!!! Jeden Cent wert! Wir waren hier 2 Nächte mit Familie zu viert, hat im Haus „Mi Padre“ wunderbar gepasst.
Einzig Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermarkt) gibts nicht so einfach um die Ecke, da muss man mal ins Auto steigen.
Parkplätze gibts in den Straßen kostenlos, sind aber hoch frequentiert durch die Cité-Touristen. Klappt aber immer wieder, wir haben so durchgehend Parkplätze gefunden und mussten nichts zahlen.
L'accueil est sympathique avec de bons conseils pour visiter la cité. Le parking est un grand parking couvert très grand.
Attention il faut monter un escalier pour accéder aux gîtes. De plus, l'accès à la cité est tout près mais le chemin très escarpé (et glissant quand il a plu) donc difficile pour personnes à mobilité réduite.
Pour trouver une chose a dire : le départ à 10h est un peu contraignant. En général c'est 11h ou midi. Mais comme le ménage est inclus c'est faisable quand même surtout qu'on vous laisse "check out" en autonomie en rendant les clé dans une boîte.
Démarche de courtoisie recommandée par toutes les plates-formes et autorités.

Bien que ma période d'isolement ait été terminée pour le séjour prévu, je demande que mon fils et mon petit fils puissent profiter à ma place de ce séjour et venir aux dates convenues.
Echange rugueux, NON CATERORIQUE !
Bilan de l'expérience: 200€ indument conservés, une fête familiale gâchée, un trés trés mauvais souvenir.
