A museum dedicated to the history of the gendarmes, with a unique collection and fun, interactive features.

Created in 1946, this museum reopened its doors in 2015, in a building belonging to the École des Officiers de la Gendarmerie Nationale. Both a history and society museum, it invites visitors to discover the history of the gendarmes, with an original collection and fun, interactive features. The permanent tour is organized around a large suspended display case, featuring an army of horsemen and infantrymen illustrating every era from the Middle Ages to the present day.

pour rien au monde j irais visiter ce musée j habitais la banlieue de Melun pendant 50 ans je n ai jamais fermé la porte a clefs je me suis fait arrêté pour contrôle 1 fois j ai déménagé sur Beaune la Rolande 45340 pour me rapprocher de ma fille contrôler 10fois en 7 ans en cherchant tous les moyens pour vous verbaliser et ils verbalisent pour un rien et je ne suis pas le seul a le dire et a être contrôlé je pense que c est leur seul moyen d exister il y a de nombreux cambriolages des vols sans arrestation je me barricade et j ai 4 chiens maintenant tellement l insécurité est grande voici pourquoi le musée de la gendarmerie non jamais jamais
