Various wells were used as district wells before water arrived in the commune in 1961

The various districts and hamlets of Courtomer, like those of the communes in the region, had their own well. We do not know the date of creation of these different wells, but they were used as neighbourhood wells before water arrived in the commune in 1961. Generally, a well supplied an isolated farm or a dozen houses grouped together that came to get water. This type of well can be found throughout the village, mostly on private properties. Some of them have been clogged up to avoid accidents.
