A hotel rich in beauty and history, with fifteen auction rooms for furniture and everyday objects.

Hôtel Drouot, the temple of auctions, was founded in 1852. It is the oldest public auction house in the world. Admission to any of the fifteen auction rooms is free. Ultimately, you only pay if you participate by becoming a buyer yourself. In addition to Drouot-Richelieu, where works of art and collectors' items are sold, there is Drouot-Montmartre, in the 18th arrondissement, dedicated to sales of furniture and everyday objects. You can also take part in public auctions on the Internet.

It seems the company is only interested in percentages of sales. A controversial issue has arisen with "Stanislas Machoïr", which adds payment for pickup to the cost of delivery of the lot! I still don’t understand why I have to pay for pickup if the item is sent to me by mail! and in general, why the pick-up service is paid is not clear. I wrote to Druout twice about this misunderstanding, the company did not help to sort it out, does not exercise control over payment and shipment of lots... as a result, my account was blocked. I think that if sales go through the Druout website, then you could support sales in difficult situations, and not freeze-out blocking users
