With beautiful ceramic wall panels, Frenchie Pigalle is a restaurant located in Paris, suggesting a motley cuisine.

For his first "infidelity to the Rue du Nil", as he puts it, Gregory Marchand landed at the Hotel Grand Pigalle in SoPi. That lunchtime, in the dining room or at the bar, duos of friends, executives and fashion professionals exchanged ideas over a colorful cuisine to great effect: addictive radish declensions with parmesan; convincing skate in sweet and sour mode with mandarin oranges and roasted beet; more conventional pappardelle with rabbit stew... In the evening, it's all about small plates as surprising as they are promising. A fine selection of wines and spirits.

I was unfortunately truly disappointed by our experience last night at Frenchie Pigalle. I have had nothing but good experiences with the team Frenchie run restaurants in the past. Their flagship on rue de Nil is extraordinary. The tapas style place across the street on rue de Nil is delicious. Their American style street food joint also on rue de a Nil hits the spot. Frenchie Pigalle tarnishes their name. The food is simply put bland. Tasteless. Prices are high but even at half of what we were charged I would have been disappointed. I was looking for a culinary experience instead I was served attractive looking but tasteless food. The talented Team Frenchie needs to revisit what they are trying to accomplish here. If you are looking for this kind of small plates to share experience try L’Avant Comptoir or Chocho instead.

Food started very well - really nice actually- but my main, a chicken ballotine wasn't warmed up - to the extent of the herb filling being actively cold/raw. I asked for the chicken to be warmed, the plate was taken away and after 5 min in the oven + some extra sauce returned - filling still cold. I didn't eat the main part of the dish, flagged again to the waiter. The item was fully charged on the bill. I don't mind at all being served a dish with an issue, I do mind the way it was addressed by the kitchen when raised.

Étant un couple du métier, on évite ce genre de commentaire habituellement, mais pour une addition à plus de 150€ à deux on l’a un peu mauvaise…

Côté cuisine, de belles découvertes.
Les assiettes à partager sont excellentes.
Cependant, les portions des plats sont trop petites et moins réussies que les assiettes à partager.
On reste sur une très bonne note pour la cuisine.

Niveau ambiance, la musique est 10 fois trop forte. On s’entend à peine parler et on est ressortis avec un gros mal de crâne.

Côté service, on nous installe et on attend presque 10 minutes avant d’avoir la carte.
A la commande, on nous explique que les plats arrivent au fur et à mesure du dîner.
Ce principe est sympa lorsque l’on n’a pas 10-15 minutes d’attente entre chaque petite assiette…
Arrivés au plat, on a presque plus faim à cause de l’attente.

Pour suivre, le serveur est très nonchalant pour le standing du lieu.
On ne l’a pas vu de tout le diner à notre table et au bout d’1h30 à errer il réapparaît pour demander si tout se passe bien…peut-être un peu tard de demander après avoir fini les plats ?
La salle n’est pas si immense…

De plus, on nous retire une assiette pendant qu’on est en train de saucer, on nous asperge de désinfectant en nettoyant la table d’à côté, on a dû redemander de l’eau et du pain à 2 reprises…

Pour une addition à 80€ par personne ça fait un peu mal.

Le serveur fantôme est venu avec le TPE pour nous encaisser.
Devant l’absence de pourboire il expédie le paiement et m’arrache carrément le terminal des mains…
Après s’être sentis délaissés pendant tout le dîner, un peu difficile d’expliquer tous les soucis face à un service inexistant.
N’aimant pas demander le manager, nous sommes partis sans un mot.

Heureusement, l’une des serveuses était très avenante et se démenait en salle face à un collègue médiocre.

Dans notre milieu l’adage est que l’on vient pour la cuisine, et que l’on revient pour le service, cette fois-ci, on ne reviendra pas.
Dommage car la cuisine vaut le détour.

I don't normally write reviews, but since I had complaints and no one in the restaurant cared, might as well do it here.
First the waiter, a boy, had a very strange attitude and unwelcoming feeling. Then, after seeing the extremely HIGH PRICES, I thought either the place is very generous with portions or very skilled in making food. Turns out it was neither !
The fish was chewy and way OVER cooked. I've had chicken more tender than this fish. Its sauce was nothing special, tasted like salt, pepper, and water basically. The portion (Claiming for 2 or 3 people) was one fish for around 80 euros !! I could eat that on my own.
The tempura vegetables had RAW BATTER INSIDE !!! We communicated this to the waitress, but all we got was 'we will let the chef know'. The baked carrots were mediocre with a watery sauce underneath. Finally, the dessert followed the same attitude, no complexity, no intensity in flavours, just overly priced.
Restaurant acoustics is horrible, sooo noisy that we can't hear each other, and open kitchen with horrible ventilation that the place and our clothes smelled like intense cooking.
If this place is not aware of these things, they should do something about it, and if they are, then this is a disrespect to people's experience, money, and time.
