Real Parisian bistro elaborating quality products, a menu of meats, fish, and a lunch formula.

The true Parisian bistro, with its enchanting, its bar, its benches, its slate and its tiled floor, has this outdated little side that makes the trendy crowd shudder. Let's say, tradition comes back to the front of the scene, for the pleasure of our hungry stomachs over the last 10 years by a bistronomie that sometimes lacked a hair of generosity. The Good Georges has everything good in this exercise of style which consists of selecting quality products (Landemaine bread, vegetables of Joël Des, fish and lamb of the island of Yeu, etc.), it grows even to join a butcher of exception, Polmard, specialist in maturation. À la carte, steak ' (composed of 4 pieces of meat differently matured), juicy to heart, well roasted, and served in tartar, in Pavé pavement, in carpaccio… All this is accompanied by successful homemade chips or a crazy pick pick. On the rest of the card, some very compelling rabble accents (calf's foot, pig breast, poultry, yellow wine, milk lamb, etc.). The carnivore is happy, even if he would have to jump by seeing the addition, because we also say, quality meat has a sacred price. The real plan remains the lunch formula, with a flat dish, but changing every day (with caramelized pork, tartare, etc.).

Reviendrai-je ? Oui.

Made a reservation in advance for the restaurant as I was told that it is usually full. We ordered the pate, cream of mussels, beef stew, sea bream and apple pie. Our mains were paired with the recommended red wine and they went well together. I liked my beef stew and my friend really liked her sea bream. Menu is written in French but the waitress patiently explained everything to us in English. Food from our neighbouring tables looked good as well. We enjoyed the lunch and wish to visit again!

Sometimes the best food in Paris is a little off the beaten path, and Le Bon George's is a great example of amazing home style traditional French cuisine, in a rustic 'old Paris' themed restaurant. The wine cellar is dangerous! The service was top quality, and the food was outstanding. Every dish explained carefully and proudly by the waiter. Finished off with a wonderful selection of cheeses. Inside seating is cosy Parisian style, and around 6 or so outside tables to watch the street go by. Highly recommended.

Excellent repas avec un service et une ambiance à la hauteur. De la cuisine généreuse

Visited Le bon Georges as our last lunch in Paris on our last day of the holiday. We were very excited to dine here after hearing many good things and had very good expectations. We were greeted and sat down in what was a very cramped table that had to be pulled out but we understand the restaurant is popular. The prices were very very high but we were willing to spend because we were told the quality of the food was good. Both my partner and I got the chicken with fregola Sarda. When the food came we were shocked to find that my partners chicken was raw even on the exterior and not properly cooked. Mine was okay. When we brought this up the waitress said "would you like it less pink, I'll have to see what the kitchen can do". To be clear... The chicken was not just pink, it was completely raw on the underside. We were offered no apology but they did remake the dish after a long delay. Overall, even then, it was just okay and did not justify the price. We have never been served raw chicken before and in any similar situation we have had the price taken off the bill. When we did get the bill, it was there and the price was also incorrect compared to the chalk board menu as advertised. The waiter apologised and changed this but overall, this was the most disappointing of all the culinary experiences we had in Paris despite paying more per dish than even some of the michelin star restaurants we went to...
