Restaurant serving Latin-American-inspired cuisine based on fresh produce, in the Hoy de Pigalle hotel.
Within the Hoy de Pigalle hotel, the Mesa restaurant ("table" in Spanish) opens under a beautiful glass roof with marble table and banquettes. Inspired by Latin American cuisine, the dishes are prepared using fresh produce, for a holistic approach to gastronomy. Portions may be a little small, but the taste and experience are there for all to enjoy: mushroom tacos, papas bravas and cashew cream, cauliflower and chickpea falafel. In the evening, let yourself be tempted by a signature cocktail infused in a vat and served on tap!

Dinner at Mesa went down an unexpected route. We expected to have a pleasant plant-based experience but unfortunately, would not be able to say so. I have a severe peanut allergy and made sure to check with staff that the dish I ordered was peanut free. When trying the dish, that took over 30 minutes to arrive in a near empty restaurant, I immediately recongnized a tingle in my throat, that was a familiar feeling of uncomfort. In no time at all, I became covered in hives and my throat began to close. My friend immediately alerted wait staff and promptly got the check. She asked if the dish had peanuts in it which they immediately acknowledged to be true. Upon explaining the situation, they apologized, but this does not make up for the grave mistake they could have caused. I will not be returning to Mesa, and neither should you. Very pricy, no menu in english and no reception, so I kinda had to guess what to order. Still, the staff was friendly.

Went for brunch, tiny portions sizes for a 17 Euro tortilla, coffees were 8 euros. Complained to the waiter and he laughed in our faces

What you paying for food is not worth it at all, for the main we have two potatoes in some dressing, I’m sorry but €140 dinner for two people deserves a better main than that.
Service was super nice and friendly, is the menu that needs a huge improvement.
