Museum housing a rich collection of Chinese and Japanese art dating mainly from antiquity to the century.
Opened in 1898, the Musée Cernuschi is housed in a handsome townhouse on the edge of the Parc Monceau. It houses a rich collection of Chinese and Japanese art, dating mainly from antiquity to the 14th century: bronzes, funerary statuettes, ceramics, silverware... The museum is named after Henri Cernuschi, a wealthy Italian republican who bequeathed his collections and home to the City of Paris. With its impressive holdings, the museum is the second-largest Asian art museum in France.
