Created more than 30 years ago, France Alzheimer and related diseases is today the only family association recognized as being of public utility in the field of Alzheimer and related diseases. Thanks to its network of nearly 100 departmental associations and the commitment of its thousands of volunteers, the Association is a privileged contact for the support and accompaniment of families weakened by the disease. Among the actions currently offered by France Alzheimer and related diseases for families: drop-in centres, memory cafés, Alzheimer's respite holidays, discussion groups, individual interviews, artistic workshops, etc. With this wide range of activities, France Alzheimer's and related diseases has set itself four essential missions: to help and support families; to promote advances in research; to train professionals, carers and volunteers; and to raise public awareness and challenge public authorities.
