Hotel Mathis has been recently renovated. If the gold colour is present, it is by no means flashy. It just warms the atmosphere, which is already very muffled. The decoration plays in the offbeat retro, worked with elegance. The rooms hide behind a discreet facade whose black blinds and grids seem to protect them from prying eyes. Only a dimmed light filters behind captive curtains. Some rooms have balconies equipped with small tables and chairs for breakfast or a drink. The bar, all dressed in red, recalls the Napoleon III salons. Le Mathis cultivates a homely spirit and maintains a privileged relationship with its residents, offering a top-of-the-range, discreet and warm tailor-made service.

The hotel itself is in an ideal location for getting all the tourist attractions within walking distance and the metro is a 1min walk away.
We could not recommend the hotel anymore, it was just fabulous. The staff were absolutely excellent and so helpful. We would recommend to anyone travelling with children. Make sure to try the coffee shop too!
